Hi! I’m Graydon Tokke, founder of TTC & wanted to give you a little backstory on how we got to where we are today. I first started as a package handler for FedEx working the graveyard 3-8 AM shift before going to classes in college. Planned to just be a temporary way to acquire extra income, but years went by & i found myself moving up the ranks. After delivering a route in SoHo in downtown Manhattan, combined with experience managing a fleet that covered Connecticut. I noticed there was a major issue across the board when it comes to “Last Mile” delivery companies.
The “Last Mile” is defined as “the final leg of a package’s journey from a transportation hub to its final destination, typically a customer’s home.” Most people think that when a FedEx or Amazon truck comes to their house or business, that the person delivering your package is paid by the corporation. However, this is far from the case. Many of the trucks out there you see on the road are all run and operated by what the industry calls “Independent Service Providers” ISP’s or “Delivery Service Providers” DSP’s. There are thousands of contractors across the country that essentially operate as a small delivery business under the umbrella of FedEx & Amazon.
